Abstract - Experimental Designs by Martin
I was given the task to come up with my own project for my graphic design senior thesis at CSUEB. I chose to create a book, which held together 26 various design concepts composed of surrealism, abstraction, type, chaos, textures, digital & traditional art, generative art, and absurdity to exemplify my craft. After I finished designing these, I quickly created a duplicate set with the goal of turning these into something entirely different. I asked myself, "By duplicating these designs, am I able to re-brand it to convey an entirely different message, with the use of very minimal editing?" I believe I was able to achieve my goal and demonstrate a wide range of design skills. Tools: (Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, Rebel T3i, Pilot Parallels, Wacom Tablet) The hardcover book was printed with semi-gloss 140# (190GSM) Mohawk ProLine Pearl Photo paper published by Blurb.
